Many schools are looking for LOTE teachers! If your district is willing to hire from abroad, I highly recommend this FRENCH/SPANISH teacher: Ingrid Durfort is a French national with 20 years of Experience teaching French and Spanish at the high school level in France. She speaks native French and Spanish and is fluent in English. Her background includes lengthy residence during my early school years in Congo and Nigeria in Africa, residence in Pakistan, and frequent visits to the United States, where all of her sisters reside.

She is now very interested into moving to Texas to take up a teaching position in a Texas middle or high school. One of her sisters is a professor at the University of Texas at Austin, and Ms. Durfort is very familiar with the area and the people of Central Texas. She would be willing to teach French or Spanish or both.

The only requirement would be sponsorship for an H1-B visa in the special category reserved for teachers in the rural districts of Texas. Such visas are not counted against the broader, highly competitive H1-B program, and far easier to obtain.

Ingrid Durfort would be prepared to make this move as soon as an opportunity presented itself. Her latest resume is below.
